Hatcher ‘flattered’ by ‘Smallville’ role

Teri Hatcher has admitted that she feels “flattered” to be joining the cast of Smallville.

It was previously reported that the actress would play the mother of Lois Lane (Erica Durance) in a forthcoming episode.

She told TV Guide: “I’m at a place where I feel a lot of sentimental attachment to that character, to the show [and] to the genre of that timeless story, so I was really flattered that they asked.”

Lois will discover an old videotape of her deceased mother in the instalment, titled ‘Abandoned’.

Durance added: “Lois is dealing with how she fits into Clark’s life now that she knows his secret, so [viewing the tape] helps her.”

Desperate Housewives star Hatcher previously played Lois on ABC drama Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman from 1993 to 1997.

Durance has admitted that she was “thrilled” to be working alongside her predecessor.

Smallville continues on Fridays at 8/7c on The CW. [Source]

Teri was on Jimmy Kimmel tonight talking about her very painful ‘frozen shoulder’. I’ve had a torn rotator cuff which is very similar. A cortisone shot in my shoulder helped the pain immensely. She doesn’t need to suffer indefinitely!
